Half the people watching TV tonight saw the making of a child soldier on Lost. What bothers me is that most of them think that was an exaggeration, or that it doesn't happen very often. Then as the show progressed the soldier is redeemed, which bothers me even more. In real life they kill, suffer and then die. Few are ever able, or desire after ( Read more... )

I LOVE Lost. I was upset that Claire kicked out Charlie, he didn't deserve that. She's being a self righteous bitch.

I don't know if the ratings would go up if they showed the truth. We like the truth only in short glossy versions. I think too much of what really happens and the nice, scary, mostly family friendly show would be bashed for upsetting our kids.
I'm surprised your dad didn't know much about it. You guys get the good news and they cover those stories pretty regularly. But sometimes those stories are hard to read. It is terrible. Human Rights Watch voted Uganda the number one human rights crisis that the world doesn't know about, or act on for that matter.
