Submission

Submission is an indulgence. Like any indulgence, it has its time and place. The fact that the fearful populace prefers to surrender responsibility to supposed "higher authorities" is what provides unscrupulous persons with the opportunity to seize that power and parasitically abuse it.

hrmmm... i would agree that it is an indulgence but i think rather than a time and place, one has an obligation to chose a responsible party to submit to. it still works out to the same thing though, if one does not chose wisely they WILL be taken advantage of.

What if there is no trustworthy person to whom to submit? Do you submit to the least-of-all-evils? If there is no one trustworthy to whom to submit, then submission becomes a dangerous indulgence that must be forfeited. The populace needs to accept this possibility.

i agree. and that is how i lived my life. until someone was worthy i was hardly submissive... actually i took control. which is what this populous needs to do.
