In an interesting convergence of nerdom, there was both an anime convention and the Magic World Championships at the Javits Center. I conscripted some kids for a visual demonstration:

That's hilarious. Did you go to any of it? I continue to hold on to the hope that one day I'll come across a HUGE plush Catbus that isn't insanely overpriced.

Unfortunately, the convention requires a badge to enter!

Tomorrow I'm keeping an eye out for people leaving to see if I can adopt a lost badge. I want to see the wonders inside the MegaTokyo convention!
