Goddamnit. Ahab has shuffled off this mortal coil. Here's the details as taken from the Herald-Standard via lyssabard's LJ:

Ronald L. Forsythe, 71, of California, Pa., died Saturday, September 16, 2006, in Uniontown Hospital.

He was born February 19, 1935, in West Brownsville, Pa., the youngest child of the late James and Bessie (Snyder) Forsythe.

*sad smile* Don't think I don't feel some guilt for not going on and teaching. I do. However...there is no way B and I can survive here if I do that...and I think I would rather go with writing.

If nothing else, this is a kick in the ass. To do my thing, and do it well, as I was taught. I know Ahab also wouldn't want me to do anything just because it was expected of me, unless my heart was in it. (Heh, and I think he knew how soulkilling the high school "teaching" stint was for me.)

But, I just wanted to say, that I see you honoring his life everyday. I see him in you...and that's enough for me.
