I must admit that the stories behind names make the names a lot fuller and more powerful. They transform a sequence of jumbled characters that can be pronounced in a certain way into something that means something or someone. I don't know if the meaning of our names say a lot about who we are... but I'd like to believe they do. Atleast in some interpretation of the word we roll over and play dead upon hearing.

"My name means waves bitch."

In korea, your father's father names you according to an age old tradition that follows a certain pattern in naming names. Eun-gie means cornerstone as I have told most of you, basically "most important person in the country" HA. My brother's name Jun-gie means lady killer....hahah i kid but it really means handsome and charming....if you meet him, judge for yourself but to me these names are just cool because they have the weight of being named in a tradition (although my name sounds kinda pansy i hafta say, very mommma's boy sounding)
