thank you so much for bringing up katrina. almost all of my friends have made some kind of update about it but i never expected some one that doesn't live around here to be so concerned. this IS catastrophic. and i have cried at least twice everyday about it. there are people living in churches, recreation centers, other people's houses, out of hotels, and in the cajundome(lafayette's version of the superdome) our population has doubled. driving around you see them just walking the streets because they have nothing to do. this has brought out the best in most, it's amazing how much people have been giving and i have been doing as much as i can donating my things and volunteering my time as well. this comment was long but i wanted you to know how much i appreciate your understanding of our disaster.
