bring on the obnoxious
influenced by my friend sarie, i am posting a christmas wish list. this is not a list i expect anyone to get anything off of--it's my totally unrealistic list of things i'd like to have if all my friends were wealthy! if i can dream, i'm gonna make it big!
1. Yamaha Silent Brass System for trumpet and French horn
This thing is the coolest musical accessory ever! It allows brass musicians to practice virtually anywhere at anytime without disturbing the people around them. I might practice more (and get better) if I could practice at home.
2. Conn 10D Concert Double French horn
It broke my heart to have to sell my horn to pay tuition my senior year, but you do what you have to do. I had a Yamaha - a really good horn - but Conn makes the best of the best. I mean, if I'm dropping $8,000 on an instrument, I want the best.
3. A new bedroom
Preferrably this one from IKEA. Because lets face it - I'm sleeping on a futon which is kinda falling apart and VERY uncomfortable. I need new pillows, linens, curtains, a TV stand, some kind of overhead lighting...
4. A masters degree (maybe a PhD too)
Ok, I know you can't just buy a degree. But the money to pay tuition would be nice!
5. 2010 Nissan Xterra
I've always been torn between my love of sporty cars and the practical needs that I have crap to haul around pretty often. My current car, which is also starting to not work on a regular basis, fulfills neither of those needs. The Xterra does. But only if it's bright yellow.
6. P90x
And a set of adjustable weights so I can do the exercises.
7. Germany
No, I don't want to HAVE the country. But a nice lenghty visit would be wunderbar!
