i felt the same way my sophomore year...it was definitely my least favorite year at school, & most of my friends said the same thing [not to discourage you or anything!]. but don't worry, the last two years will be much better...living off campus, starting to plan your future after college, becoming legal & being exposed to a whole new social scene, studying abroad [if you choose to do so], etc. ok, this is probably not helping you feel better at ALL, i'm sorry! just know that most people feel the same way going into their second year.

it's sort of ironic, because right now i'm wishing i were you, court. i hate the anxiousness & the nervousness. i wish i did know who my friends were going to be, or at least had some friends. i've been so nervous lately about moving to vermont, not knowing anyone, getting lost on campus, my roommate, etc., that i couldn't fall asleep until four in the morning last night because i was thinking about it so much.

i understand where you're coming from, though. i guess the grass is always greener on the other side (not to be corny), and i'm sure this time next year i'll be writing a post very similar to yours.
