Anybody who has any doubts about how sick I am of this PIECE OF SHIT computer did not spend any time this morning watching me repeatedly ram a butter knife down the CDROM slot. The bitch will open the fuck up now, though (/threepennies). And the spare pieces of black plastic that fell out? I THREW THEM THE FUCK OUT. And I never intended to use the delete key anyway. Everything I write is perfect the first time, and if you don't agree, you can all BLOW ME. And see, I can't take that back now either, but that's ok because I MEANT it. So there.
I actually had a moment of serious discourse with myself about taking a hammer to it, sledge or otherwise, once and for all. Then I remembered- I can't back anything up. Because the damn thing fucked my firewire yesterday. I have 3 firewire drives and a firewire-only CDROM burner for backup. Helpful.
And yes, I've PRAM'd and NVRAM'd and PMU'd and removed extentions and reinstalled the Combined 10.5 update and not just the Software Update update. And did I mention I also HACKED AT IT WITH A BUTTER KNIFE? Is anyone else old enough to remember fiddling delicately with the TV arial for half a lifetime, before just giving it one good smack up the side? Felt good, didn't it? Yeah, that.
I'm having a moderately hysterical version of "This Little Light of Mine" on internal auto-repeat. Not good. No, not good at all. Really, if one motherfucking thing would go right for once, that would be ok with me. I really need to take up serious drinking as a hobby, but I keep forgetting.
