Harry will remain clueless about Snape's allegiance for as much of the book as possible, so that we will all be astounded at the revelation of Snape's true heroism. I'm very afraid Snape is doomed to die. It will be easier for the other characters to deal with him afterwards if they're thinking of him in the abstract, rather than having him around being just as unpleasant and greasy-haired as ever while having to be grateful to him. Nobody will mourn for him except me.
I think Snape will die too, but I highly doubt you'll be the only one to mourn...I think a good half of the fandom (including me) will be joining you. ;-)
I agree with most of your other predictions, though I am worried about the lives of the trio, particularly Ron. *frets*
I am more worried about the lives of the trio after reading that JKR "howled" after writing the end of one of the chapters toward the end. I can't imagine whose death would affect her that way except for one of the core characters (maybe Remus...maybe), and although I know she has a soft spot for Snape, I don't think his death would cause her to down "half a bottle of champagne in one go." She has said before that Hermione is her favourite (and why she and Steve Kloves clicked so well when they first met and he said the same thing) - so I have a feeling it's either Harry or Hermione that caused that reaction.
I should have edited the Snape comment for this venue--I posted this in several places. You're right, there will be lots of Snape mourners around here.
Argh I think I mixed up which comment I was replying to. I'm sorry.
I completely agree about Ginny and Remus in book 6. I especially got tired of being pounded over the head about how wonderful Ginny is, and don't look forward to more of the same in book 7. Hopefully she'll be out of most of the action and only show up at the end to be the love interest, not that I'm excited at that prospect either.
I really, really hope Remus doesn't die. Or Draco. Or Snape, but I can practically see that coming down the track. The thing I'm really the most afraid of is the Harry/Ginny "happy ending" though.

Hahaha, word.
I agree with everything you said. Although... I think Remus will die too. And that will make me very sad.
I can't wait for Harry's talk with DD's portrait.
Great post!
