Cats, make an accord with a bird? Scandalous! It's a high-stake four-against-one battle of will, and claws, and two telepathic kittens making it very clear that People Who Make Ali Sad Will Not Be Tolerated.

...but cats are small, and decent boots make their attacks futile (until next time!); and Ali isn't too hard to find, seeing as she's busy in the greenhouse doing that planty-dirty-nature-stuff she does.

"Hello, Samus." There's little inflection in her voice, and since she's busy trying to ease apart pieces of a plant that's overgrown its container she doesn't look up; but she doesn't precisely seem upset with the company.

"We've been fine. The twins are getting excitable." She pauses, puffing at a bit of hair that's fallen in her eyes. "I'm glad school's almost done for the semester.

"It isn't really a two-person job. And you'd get dirty. I know you hate that. But if you could fill the watering can for me, it'd save my getting up again."
