Aragorn has spent the better half of his existence to most as a mystery. After learning of his true identity from Elrond, he chose to live amongst the last of his kin, the Dúnedain and serve as a Chieftain as his father and forefathers had before him. He holds a great sense of loyalty, and goes above and beyond the call to protect what little is left of his people. This sense of allegiance extends to the Fellowship when he volunteers to help Frodo Baggins take the One Ring to Mordor to destroyed it.
Through the journey, Aragorn shows great leadership, sound wisdom and a fierce determination to guard and protect his companions by any means necessary. He holds their lives above his own, and will risk injury - even possible death - to ensure their survival. During battle, Aragorn uses wit and cunning strategy to beat his opponent(s), and only favours risk if he feels it will work to his benefit.
Aragorn had his doubts that he could be a good king. Because of Isildur (who fell victim to the influence of the One Ring), Aragorn believed that the same weakness flowed in his blood and that he would end up failing his people. That conscience is what made him decide to hide under the cloak of being a Ranger and also to hide his true identity from them.
Under the hardened exterior remains a man that has a heart. He laughs and grieves for those close to him that he has lost. Aragorn shows devotion and commitment in all ways, but especially to that of Arwen, whom he pledged to marry. It is her love that gives him courage to follow his path, despite it keeping them apart more than allowing them to be together. Without it, Aragorn would not have the confidence to come into the role he was meant for: King.
Many look up to Aragorn, and put full and complete trust in him. This is of great importance to him, and a gift that he considers too precious to ever let go of. In turn, Aragorn respects and trusts in return. Having him as an ally is not hard, and once you do, he will be loyal and devoted until you draw your final breath.
abilities/powers:
As a Dúnedain, Aragorn has the gift of foresight, and is a skilled healer. Beyond that, he is a true warrior and an accomplished fighter. He is quick, versatile and also a skilled rider. He is a master swordsman and extremely capable in using a bow.
He is also quite intelligent, which was gained from wisdom passed from Gandalf.

It was the last thing he remembered her saying before he drifted off into a peaceful slumber. The day had been long, and the celebration that commenced shortly after his coronation wore into the early morning hours, and at the end of it all, he and his love quietly reflected on everything that had happened in the six months since Frodo left the Shire with the One Ring.
It was over.
The Ring had been destroyed, and Middle Earth was now at rest from the evil known as Sauron. It was now time to rebuild, grow and become stronger. He knew it would take time. There would always be a lingering reminder of those lost, especially the ones so close to him. Those he called friends.
But, it was over.
Suddenly, everything that was calm was not anymore. The darkness beneath his lids faded into a wicked blackness. His head and stomach twisted and turned, and a weight fell onto his chest that made it impossible to breathe, or even move. He was falling...
His eyes slowly opened, but the light above prevented him from keeping them open. There was an intense chill in the air, one that pricked every inch of his body. Somewhere distant he heard voices. Yet, they were ones that he did not recognized.
