I think that after all of these years, I'm tentatively retiring this journal, for a handful of reasons, not the least of which is being tired with very old entries from another place and time that do not seem to paint an accurate picture of the person I wish to be at this place in my life.

Lying on the tile floor, pillow under head, lap-blanket lovingly placed atop by Irene, is probably the best right now. I feel like a mousy little secret; I can be quiet and listen to everyone, somewhat hidden from view, but my energy is part of their energy and their energy is part of me, and that does something good inside. So...here I am, back on Long Island for the summer.
