I forget, sometimes, that in elementary/middle schools the phrase 'pissed off' is generally not acceptable. As in, 'America didn't want to piss off Germany" (my attempt to explain appeasement.) I was presented with six scandalized little faces ( Read more... )

I don't know what's going on with you and the children, but that was certainly an unexpected reply! So, how have you been? I've been okay. Currently I'm in Spain. It's not that cold here (still in the high 60s, low 70s... or ahm... mid teens to low 20s celsius, if you play it like that), which I think is nicer. BTW, I went to your motherland (or at least, that of your ancestors) a couple weeks ago. I'd say that in Italian if I could, but the only things I know how to say in Italian are Dov'è la metropolitana?; il conto, per favore & ciao. It got me around.

I took Portuguese classes last year in school just for the hell of it. Today I put in an application for an environmental sciences program in Brazil for next semester, so wish me luck!

Have you spoken to anyone from Research? I used to leave messages on Lisa's wall every once in a while, but I haven't in a bit. Even the last time I saw Paul was in... May or April, I guess. Wow, it's been a while.

Yeah, the internet is funny like that sometimes. I've been okay, kind of had one of those ridiculous months where all these strange things happen to me, but I've been good. I hope you enjoyed Italy. That's exciting that you're in Spain, everyone's going abroad to all these places and I'm just living in Baltimore.

I've been taking German classes for the hell of it. It was good at first, and then...yeah. Now it's kicking my ass.

I don't really talk to that many people from Port on a regular basis, actually. I spoke with Hannah a few times over the summer and I've been trying to get in touch with Paul because I have a story that he'll find really amusing but you know how hard it is to get in touch with Paul. I've run into Mea a few times but I go back to Port so rarely...so it's been months since I talked to a lot of people.

Enjoy Spain, and you know, stay in touch. :D
