It's been a pleasant day, Mizuno Ami's birthday, and the summer heat has gentled to a cool autumn evening. As night falls, a golden sun sinks into the sea and the water shimmers in its fading light as a luxurious cruise ship makes its unhurried way down the Sumida River

No, because once Usagi steps into the room wearing a simple pink floor length dress, she can already feel the eyes (or lack thereof) turned to her.
It doesn't take her too long to spot the birthday girl, but once she does, she seems relieved? Almost happy that the only real person in here is one she's familiar with. So, she walks forward but stops halfway to Ami, waiting for the other girl to give the permission to walk any closer.
It's only polite. If Ami doesn't want her in this dream, then this is her chance to kick her out. ]

How nice of you to join us, Tsukino-san! [The robots, expressionless, may be a little unnerving.]
It's a special day, so I don't feel like fighting, but be careful here, ok?

Sure! I can do that!
[ Usagi's swallowing any kind of reservations she may have -- any kind of nervousness that may be trying to break her strength. This was a mission; she had hoped to show up in this girls' dreams for a sole purpose and as long as she could do that then it'd be okay. Everything would be fine for the night.
Her eyes scan the room and, surprise surprise, there's no room for her, but that's not what she's looking for. She's looking for the table that should have all the gifts for the birthday girl. ]

He's wearing a suit with a deep purple tie, one that compliments the purple markings under his eyes. Looking up and letting go of the door frame, he finds himself standing under the gaze of what appears to be every soul in the room- it's slightly unnerving, to say the least.
Axel tries not to let it get to him, scanning the room casually for a recognizable face and brushing himself down.]

Another robot.
A robot next to that one. Another robot. One more robot.
And Ami.]
Good evening, Axel! I didn't want today to end yet, so I thought I'd stay here awhile.

Ahhh, you mean I'm late? Sorry about that. I'm sure the party's been a ...a riot.
[Eyeing the stone faced robots and smirking, he seats himself comfortably down next to her, sticking his feet up on the table.]

It's been enjoyable! [She facetiously 'agrees' with him with that too-wide, smug smile.] Stay for awhile?

H-Hey, Ami! What's going on?
[He'll be scooting right in t stand next to where she sits, seeming nervous. Crowds aren't something he enjoys, really, even if most of them aren't real.]

This is a celebration. Why not join it? [A nod towards the robot sitting beside her, and it gets up to offer its place to Sora.]

[Though he will sit, rather awkwardly, where she indicates. He's not used to this--to crowds. It's disconcerting to him, but he'll quietly deal.]

It's impolite to greet the guests before greeting the hostess. Shall we speak awhile?
