I was not expecting this many words, I am sorry irreversibly December 20 2011, 12:22:54 UTC
Xion isn't so sure about what she's hearing. If humanity was a disease and Jenova the cure -- which she doesn't believe, not for one second, but she'll try to see it from his point of view -- then why did people get sick if she contaminated the Lifestream? And if she was such a good thing, why use the word contaminated(Lifestream? She just knows what it is. It feels like knowing the name of a stranger in a dream, and knowing that they've been your friend ever since you could remember even if you don't actually know who they are. Which isn't the case with this person, but ( ... )

“I told you,” Kadaj said, thoroughly annoyed. Why was he talking to this woman again? He should be skewering her alive! But he wasn’t, and he still didn’t know why. Maybe they did have something in common. Maybe she knew something or could be useful in some minor way. If that was the case he should just interrogate her; not this casual talking business. It hadn't worked in the past, so why would it work now?

“All Mother wants is to purify the cosmos once and for all. Then she can finally create the Promised Land.” What the Promised Land actually entailed, Kadaj did not know. It didn’t matter so long as Mother was happy. The young remnant envisioned it as a physical place where he could have Mother all to himself. It would be grand ( ... )

"I..." Xion hesitates. Why does she want to know? She doesn't remember. She feels like she's walked into the middle of a story someone was telling and has took up playing a part even though she doesn't know what's going on. Then, without quite knowing what she's saying: "I just wanted to know more about you."

She tries to smile. To her... It's kind of sad, this story. It's clear that all Kadaj wants to do is make his mother happy. But, the thing is... What his mother wants isn't right, and on top of that, it isn't fair to him. All he can see is what she wants, and what she wants is what he wants simply because she wants it. That's how love works, after all, but... He doesn't even know what else he could want, probably, because he's like Xion. A Remnant isn't a replica, but... They're similar enough. But at least Xion has had a chance to discover what she wants, what she really wants. (Sunsets, beaches, and ice cream with friends ( ... )

The fact she admitted defeat before an actual fight placated Kadaj. He was intimidating, and he liked it that way. She respected him on some level. Still, Kadaj was suspicious of her intentions. He has been lied to one too many times in the past.

“Right.” Kadaj scoffed at her words. What she really wanted was to get inside his head-figure out his thought process. She was judging him and Kadaj would be sure to put on a show she would not forget!

“When you humans get sick, a virus invades your body. That virus is an unwelcomed visitor.” He began to pace back and forth, but it wasn’t in aggravation. “All it wants to do, all it deserves to do is flourish.” He approached her again and stood nearby, his view on the vast nothingness ahead of them.

“It serves a purpose. It weeds out the weak. Humanity is a weakness to the cosmos, and Jenova is the virus here to better it! It’s survival of the fittest.” Kadaj finally awarded her a cold glance. “But humanity is far too selfish to realize everything that exists is better without them.”(
