here are some ideas... this is from a post in the Seattle livejournal group, a poster asked a question about getting a wedding dress altered, and here are the suggestions that she received, hope this helps!

I had my wedding gown altered at Madison Cleaners (on the corner of Lake Washington BLVD and Madison) right across from the Arboretum. They did it in ~2 weeks (i'm a procrastinator) and it only cost $40. Super nice folks, too.

Margarita Tailor In issaquah next to Subway by GI joes.. she is cheap.. good. and fast... this is where we went for my sisters wedding dress and all of the brides maid dresses...

I really like LA Tailors in Burien, next to the Taco Time. She altered a formal for me last year, and did excellent work. It needed major altering (huge on top, too small down below, too long, etc), and I think she charged me around $75.

I got my dress for Johanna's wedding altered by a woman who worked out of her house. I'll see if I can dig up her information - she was awesome and inexpensive.
