A flashlight or any nice big bright light should help. And try not to wander around the cave, aim for a straight shot through it.

Yeah, that might work. I have crayons and a coloring book I can do that with.

[He scowls. He's not three, Nurse Joy.]

We're kinda already here, though.

[Yuu frowns.]

The old man didn't think of it before we left.

I say catch a pokémon from the caves it will make it easier to get around and out the cave quickly.

If you mean Union Cave, it might behoove you to capture an Onix while you're there. They're accustomed to traveling in the caves, and they travel well elsewhere, for that matter.

Aside from that, mapping out the cave as you go would be a wise idea, so that backtracking will be easier.

A fire Pokémon would also be wise; they provide light and heat and a means of cooking food, if need be.

Oh yeah, huh... 'Metta can do that!

[Better... let 'Metta the Charmander out before he forgets, then.]

What's an Onix look like?

[ Sebastian nods approvingly at the Charmander. At the boy's question, he gestures for him to hold on a moment, reaching offscreen.

After a minute or two of pencil on paper, Sebastian holds up an excellent drawing of an Onix. ]

They're very large serpentine creatures, nearly thirty feet long, and made of boulders. You'll have the best luck catching one if you have a water-type.

...So it's a rock-type, right?

[He's got. No less than three pokemon that would go to town on such a creature.]

I think we can handle that.

I'm pretty sure we'll make it through, Yuu... Even if we get lost--I mean... how big can this place be?

It could go underground! It could be huge! Stupid old man, don't let appearances deceive you!

[You're getting lectured by a child, Allen.]

[To his credit, this 10 year old is... immensely smart and resourceful.]

It could be, but we don't really know. I have a compass this time! I made sure to grab one before we left.

[Aww, you think he's smart. ♥]

And it's dark in there. I bet you forgot to grab a flashlight, huh? We could fall down a pit or something and get stuck in there forever!
