“I mean it purely as a business proposal. You understand don’t you Robin?”
“Business is not the word I would have chosen, Navigator-san…” Robin smiled her secretive smile and the redhead blushed and started to splutter, “…but I understand why you use it. I believe that the terms are acceptable.”
“Then you see no problem in having this kind of… arrangement?”
“None at all. I have taken considerable time in reviewing the alternatives and they are not… satisfactory.” Robin smirked over the word. She had indeed considered them well. She was not a fan of the ‘traditional’ approach to these kinds of things; Crocodile had ensured that. It wasn’t that the boys were unsuitable, it was just… well…
“I know. They’re a bunch of idiots, ne? They probably wouldn’t know where to put it!” Nami giggled nervously. It was a curious sound, not one that Robin was familiar with, particular coming from the woman who claimed to have no fear. Of all the crew, Nami was the one who was hardest to read and curiosity was Robin’s weakness… it would be fun to hear that sound more and all the others that followed…
“Well…?” Robin smiled and noted the high colour on her ‘business partner’s’ cheeks as she turned back the covers on her bed and beckoned, “time is money.”
Nami crossed the room slowly and snuggled in close, her warm hands drawing the blankets tight, “I knew this was a good idea,” Nami huffed into Robin’s soft dark hair as she pulled the other woman close, “you always know the right thing to say…”
