So is Death Note worth watching? I've read about it but I haven't seen any.

Well, the first 25 episodes (despite one somewhat slow arc) are generally rather good. Then it jumps the shark to a quite startling degree. (I've heard rumors that the original manga was supposed to end at that point, but the magazine publishing it prevailed upon the author not to end the story that way...)

I have the live-action movies lying around here somewhere, too, but have yet to watch them.
