So... yesterday was my last day of work... pause for applause. Anyway, in other news it is Jon's birthday tomorrow, so we decided to go wine tasting. Instead of going to Napa or Carmel, we went South... way South. I took a nap and by the time I woke up, to my surprise, we were in Paso Robles (2/3 the way to Santa Barbara mind you). I would imagine leaving of what is likely your own necessity or volition garners a much greater sense of satisfaction and well-being than being laid off. :D

Yes, I would imagine leaving/ quitting IS much nicer than being laid off,
and YES, I DID GET 'NAM FLASHBACKS.
I REMEMBERED THAT ONE TIME WHEN I GOT SHOT. I SAW THE DESERT AROUND PASO ROBLES AND IT BROUGHT BACK ALL THE MEMORIES OF FORESTY VIETNAM GOODNESS. :D
