so the dog i've had since i was 16 is dead as of this morning. i wasn't here to see her one last time. pets are one of the strangest most surreal human things that there is, for certain. when they're here, i oft feel they are not fully enough appreciated, then they're gone. and missed.

I'm sorry James. I know how you feel. I lost my big boy in August, and I'd had him 1/3 of my life.
