[WJ strikes again!]
Here it is (FINALLY) - the photos of my new place! (If it explains anything, everything is the way it is to maximise utility and be as cheap as humanely possible...)
House #2 - here's my doorstep! It's a student house, so pardon the fact that it appears to be in shambles.
I live in a corner house, with a garden and a backyard. =)
Enter, and almost immediately you'll be faced with my room door! Yup, I live on the ground floor.
I figure it's not really much difference whether a girl or a guy lives on the ground floor, since I'm probably the most violent one in the house anyways...
(Also - my door sign changes according to my status! =D)
Let's do a 360 of my room. On the left, you will see a big empty wall that has had some attempt at being covered up!
A closer look at what we call my 'entertainment corner' -
basically, books and cards and mahjong put out to give bored people something to fiddle with while sitting around on my expanse of floor...
Right in the middle of my room (basically the moment you open the door), you'll see this. The fireplace is defunct, which is a pity.
The mirror is actually stupidly too high for me to see more than my face in.
(That's the extent of my toiletries etc. Good thing I don't own any makeup whatsoever!)
Aaaand to the right of that is my bed! My favourite corner! =D
Note how another suitcase has been cleverly converted to become a bedside/coffee table!
At the foot of my bed is my desk. I've gotten used to having work and bed right next to each other in this way since last year.
Note how my bed is strategically RIGHT NEXT TO the only heater in the whole gigantic room! (It's freeeezing here!)
The view from my window! Not hugely inspiring, but at least I can see the people walking up to our door...
And a better view of my desk and another futile attempt at decorating my expanse of wall.
Yes, my windowsill doubles up as my bookshelf! (I'm a poor student, I have to innovate!)
Finally, if these videos show up... here's a tour of my house (featuring Henry, our vacuum cleaner!):
...And my room:
...And that's the end of the tour!
