This place was so different! Kasumi had been many places and to many different worlds, but they had all been an Earth or something like it. Never had she visited a place where space travel was possible. It was quite exciting, even if the buildings looked familiar in the way of modern cities. She hadn't asked but she had wondered, "What is this place called?"
Waiting in line would be quite all right; she was in good company. Though she did wonder what it was they were waiting for.

"The wait shouldn't be too long, Tendou-san. But ah, welcome to the Frontier... or at least, what's left of it."
It was hard to elaborate without giving her the full history of cityships and all of that in general. But if she was interested to hear about that, Michel wouldn't mind telling her.

The Frontier was an apt name for colonization - there were worlds with odder names and odder habitat, such as Wonderland- and she wanted to hear about how they had come here, where they had traveled from, as much as Michel had time to tell her before they reached the front of the line.

Space travelling was a hard to think to put into words. The Macross was a ship but it didn't feel like one when you were inside it. Michel never saw it as a cage like Alto did. He was content with the ship. But Alto was right. Their limited sky was no match for an endless one.
