oh my goodness. i am writing in this journal because i think it is a disservice to myself not to. not in this specific journal, but in a journal somewhere. i was reading my real journal from last year, and it was awesome. embarassing, but hilarious. so i am going to write more in a journal, any journal, so that i can get a piece of myself recorded

Wow, so way to make me feel old. I have you holed up in this box in my head under "Caitlin Tweed - 12 years old" and this image of you that is young and obviously so, so not the person you are, which is kind of bittersweetly sad, in a way. I love thinking about our childhood and how close we were, and it saddens me to think I know next to little about the person you are now - but I know you will always be a beautiful person, inside and out, and always so generous, eloquent, and lovely.
I am so glad to know that you are doing well and in love, omg. How exciting! I hope that we can catch up soon - whether over Christmas or next summer or whenever. Love you dear!
