speaking as an employee of a company that does this shit all the time i can tell you that they HAVE to pay you for the hours you have worked. but they'll try and drag it out because they'll want to make you suffer... stupid but true. if you have too much trouble get onto wage line and they'll be able to help you. not sure how the superannuation works for casuals, but if they owe you any make sure they pay it!!

Technically, if you 'quit' without 2 weeks notice they don't have to pay you. Ie if you walk out. But if it was their choice to 'sack' you they should. It does all depend on your contractual agreement. If you didnt have one of them, i would be very forthcoming to say in any job make sure you know your contract and your EBA or terms and conditions. The more you know this the less you get screwed over. IE RMIT i knew it and i told them my rights. Leisure Networks.... i negotiated and didnt sign until I was certain I understood. This gave me a grounds to say i wanted more money and when i wasn't paid enough i was confident inspeaking to them about it.

PS nice phone conversation - you been watching too much sopranos...
