Snakes on a plane is different though, because the reason it's been hyped is internet humor that is mocking that inane and manufactured of film like that, that is so ridiculously bad and typical in every way, that it's hillarious, even cultish.

I went to the pre-release and the theatre was filled with laughter and people who were actually into it, people are just running with it because it's so dumb, and the other half don't get it, it's like a trick on main stream culture, it's a brilliant idea. that is all.

nate sutter is soo right. half of the fun of snakes on a plane was the predictibility and mock the whole film. you could have used a much better example than snakes on a plane, which kind of demonstrates your point.
