Where: A random island where the sub stopped.
What: He meets Blue

This is, in fact, a self log, YES. But I had to do something about these two. Blue is now on the SDC.

Log:
Toboe’s ear moved and he looked behind at the forest trail. Something caught his attention and it didn’t smell like food or anything of the sort. It was actually a familiar, sweet smell. His golden eyes looked at the submarine, thinking that he should probably call Tsume, but his curiosity spoke louder. Soon, the puppy moved deeper inside the forest, trying to find to whom that scent belong to. He knew who it was. He was sure of it.
Blue had an apple in her hand. Not that she ate apples, but it came with the small basket she had taken from two guys that had passed by. Humans were simple like that; a pretty woman was enough to make them stop, and it was relatively easy to take what she wanted from them. All she could find was ham, and after eating, the dark wolf walked through the forest, throwing in the air the apple and catching it with his hand after.
The pup ran towards a cliff. That’s where the trail disappeared, but he quickly though that they might have jumped; he looked down. For someone to jump from this height…
“Blue”. He finally recognized it “Blue! BLUE!” Toboe called out in a howl and immediately followed. It was her, Blue was here!! Of course he knew this smell, it was Blue, Hige’s mate and…
Blue heard someone calling for her. A wolf. What?! she dropped the apple and ran off towards the sound until she suddenly saw a pup standing there, wagging her tail. “… you.” She recognized him. He was part of the wolf pack that opened Paradise; he was also in Freeze City before, and Quent even tried to shoot him - he’d have if that other grey wolf hadn’t meddled in.
“Blue!!” wagging his tail, Toboe ran towards the female, stopping and nuzzling her cheek “Blue! Oh, I’ve missed you!”
“What are, you..?” she stepped away slightly. Why was he being so friendly? How did he even know her name? missed her? “You know my name?”
Toboe snorted “Of course I do. Are you with old man? I mean, he-“ his eyes topped when he noticed the half wolf staring a him confused “… Blue? You don’t know who I am?” he silent answer was enough for him. Was she from another time?! “But…” he took his human form, and Blue followed “You can transform into a human too.”
“Yes. My wolf blood woken up when I heard Cheza singing back then.” Something was off. Why was he so friendly, so… “Who are you?”
Impossible! But. “I’m Toboe. I was with kiba and Tsume and… Hige, you remember Hige!”
“Tsume?” she remembered him. She fought him after all and screamed at her how wolves should never be a human’s pet. “is he here too? What about the blind wolf?”
“Blind wolf?” Toboe’s eyebrows showed concern, maybe a small confused frown.
She though for a second “Kiba, the white wolf. You were with them, I know that much. Tsume was also. And fat one too, while Cheza…”
“Kiba isn’t blind.” He pup shook his head.
Blue closed her eyes. What was going on, didn’t he even know about his own pack? “Darcia blinded him when they fought over Darcia’s palace.”
“You were there, that never happened. And then you disappeared, but Kiba never got blinde-“ Toboe stopped, blinking. Oh. This was what Fujiko once told him. Another world, not his, very similar though; people from different times came, but sometimes from different dimensions from his world too. “You aren’t the Blue I know.”
“… Apparently.” She felt him sad. Blue’s hand reached for Toboe’s head, petting him “I’m sorry.”
He shook his head with a sad smile “No, it’s just… it’s too weird” Toboe looked up at the female. “The pplace I cam from, Blue was also Quent’s dog and woken up after meeting Cheza. And we met her while we were after Cheza”
Even if they weren’t the same, they did sound similar someway. The girl started walking slowly, expecting Toboe to follow her. “I suppose I should tell you how things in my world are, hm?”
Toboe nodded “I guess. I’ll tell you about mine.”
“I was born and raised in Kyrios by Quent and his family.” She smiled thinking about Russe, the boy who had always loved her. “Wolves destroyed our home. And so… Gramps decided to start killing them so they wouldn’t hurt anyone anymore.”
The gold eyes widen “No!” He stepped in front of Blue with a frown “That didn’t happen like that! It wasn’t the wolves, it was Jagara’s men! They had been destroying villages while they were trying to find wolves for Jagara!”
Jagara? That was a noble. It was possible, Blue heard many things about the nobles and their obsessions; she also knew Jagara killed Harmona, Darcia’s lover “Perhaps. It doesn’t matter anymore.” Blue shook her head with a small smile. “We had been following a white wolf until we reached Freeze city. Old man was… always a bit keen on his drink, but he knew how to recognize you all. That’s when I met you; he tried to shoot you, and your … mate, Tsume, saved you.”
Toboe though for a moment “That happened with me too. He saw through my illusion and when he was about to shoot me, Tsume jumped in front and hurt his hand.” Well, things weren’t that different, then.
She though for a second. Toboe really was… so honest and naive. But then again, he mentioned he missed her, so he really knew her probably “We chased you around. You and your pack. Four wolves, it was perfect for Gramps. We chased you until Darcia’s old research lab.” Blue sighed “But, when we found you, you already had the flower with you. I think that’s when I realized something inside me. Before I could even make out what it was, packs of raging wolves attacked.”
Toboe’s eyes widen “raging wolves? What do you mean?” Darcia’s research lab, that’s where they found the flower indeed, but never more wolves.
“They were mad, furious, insane. They started killing each other, not even bothering who and what it was.” She spoke with a trembly voice “I couldn’t protect anything. Gramps disappeared there, you wolves also, the Flower was gone. All I found was two lost puppies mourning their mother.” She couldn’t protect anything… or anyone. “That’s when I took my human form. And that’s when I met him… Darcia”
A shiver ran through his spine. Just the name… “Darcia?” they fought? Had he hurt her?
“I felt my blood boiling.” Her blue eyes looked up at the sky that didn’t even match the colour “ And he took my hand and told me that I had a destiny. And that I could too see Paradise. The wolf in me called for it and even after losing everyone and everything…” Quent, she had though she lost him, after all how could she even tell him she was a wolf? “It was my destiny.”
“Darcia… told you that?” what was that about? What happened in that world?!
Blue looked back at Toboe “We had Cheza and wolf’s blood” Her blood. “Me and Darcia found Cheza when you weren’t very far from the laboratory and he took her to Darcia’s palace where we found out that Jagara had murdered Darcia’s mate.” Blue sighed in some sorrow. She had never meant for things to be like this “I though I could have a destiny and Darcia kept saying he’d open the gates of Paradise and I was the key”
“I see.” Toboe looked at the floor. Things had been different in his world; Darcia had become a wolf in order to open Paradise, he never used Blue or any other. Jagara, though, tried, but they broke free.
“But you guys arrived after and that’s… when I fought Tsume.” Blue let out a small chuckle “It’s stupid. He was right. A wolf should never become a human’s slave.” She remembered Kiba showing up, blind form an eye, and they fighting Darcia while the other three wolves tried to save Cheza. “Paradise. We are all born desiring it. Kiba… he showed us that” Blue smiled wide “Toboe, I cried for Quent and he came. Even if I was a wolf. That was my Paradise right there.”
Toboe smiled at the though. No matter what, Quent always cared for his pup, for his loyal Blue. The red wolf grinned “Of course.”
“The Palace crumbled. Jagara’s and Oakum’s men came, and shoot everything down. Gramps was the one saving me, but you four stood behind. That’s when we heard her, Cheza, singing… everything stopped, because Paradise opened.”
Surprise struck him. Paradise opened?! Paradise? The place they had been looking for? The place they were born desiring?! “…w…what… what happened?” It was like telling him his dreams.
Blue closed her eyes, smiled and looked up at the sky again, letting a tear fall “It rained.” All of them were killed and that was what brought Paradise to Earth; the chosen wolves opened the gates and the ice melted away, and rain came, and flowers grew.
Toboe stared at the female for a while. Rain. “I didn’t get to reach for paradise.” He said in a sorrowful way.
Maybe that was for the best. Blue smiled and petted Toboe “You probably did. Aren’t you happy here?”
A huge smile crossed Toboe’s face “Yes!” he looked at the sky. It rained in this world. They were just missing Hige and soon it’d be like home, but just better. “My story is complicated.”
“I’ve time.” She said in a grin, as now Blue walked further into the forest, near a lake.
Toboe nodded happily. “Well, when we were in the Freeze city, we did meet. But we left because Darcia had stolen Cheza. We went after him towards the laboratory, and somehow she escaped him. We met her, yes, but we never found raging wolves. Instead, human chased us. I’m not sure what happened to you, but after Old man found us, you weren’t with him.”
Blue stopped for a second. Not with him? That’s rare; she always followed her owner everywhere. Of course then again, that Blue wasn’t her.
“While we were trying to reach Paradise again, Darcia stole the maiden Flower once more. We had some… problems during the trip, but that’s when we met you. You said that you and old men departed because you were a wolf and you couldn’t live with him like that.” Toboe explained.
Now that was more like her. Blue smiled at the though.
”Hige kind of… became close to you.” He said in a small sheepish whisper.
She stopped smiling, Blue’s eyes widen “What?”
“I mean! Ahah” this was embarrassing “Hige really liked you and all!! I’s not… I’m not sure, but, well, ahah… you end up coming with us to look for Cheza.”
Blue pouted. What the hell? She and that fat one?... “Go on” things didn’t seem that fair.
“We reached Darcia’s castle... apparently Jagara had killed his mate, yes. While Kiba and Darcia fought then Quent came and you protected Kiba from being shot…” oboe sighs “Jagara men came and stole her away once again… you were caught with her, apparently.” And they lost Kiba also, finding him only on the desert, almost dead. Toboe decided to better leave that part out.
“So I was arrested by Jagara’s men? With the Lunar Flower?”
“Well, somehow you broke free along that blond woman who took care of Cheza” Toboe said sweetly.
Oh. “Doctor Cher. Yes.” She always cried so much for Cheza, Blue remembered her well. Cher was kind.
“We all headed towards Jagara’s city, you and the human too. And that’s where you met Hige again, apparently. Though, when we rescued Cheza and came back for you, you left again, this time with Quent.” Toboe smiled “I… woke up here after.”
Blue nodded. Well, Toboe never saw Paradise. Not that he ever did back in Blue’s world, but still. It was the best like that. “Well, this place…” she was missing Quent, for sure but “it’s kind of like a good Paradise, I think.”
“… Blue?” Toboe asked shyly “Don’t you… want to stay with us?”
The female looked at the pup and sighed softly “I understand your point but… I’m not the same Blue, Toboe.”
“We wouldn’t treat you as the same Blue. You are yourself!” he replied quickly. “Please. We… have good lives. We live with humans, but we are still able to be ourselves, wolves!”
What? Really? “Aren’t they afraid of you?”
Toboe shook his head “No. They treat us really nice and they… like us. Love us. And care for us.” He smiled, thinking of the plays and games, the movies and peanutbutter.
The black wolf looked at Toboe for a while. Well, being around humans was something she enjoyed, but she wanted to be around trustworthy humans. And a wolf himself was telling her that these were okay and even the Flower Maiden was there… “Just for a while. Nothing permanent.” She smiled sweetly.
Toboe gave a bark in happiness “Good! Don’t worry, it’ll be okay. And Tsume and Kiba… I’m sure that…” he couldn’t say that they’d be glad since it wasn’t the same Blue “They will like to have you around!”
Blue smiled at the excited puppy, walking slowly towards the place he came from “Let’s go then. I could use a bath too.”
