OK,
so I was going to head off to neverland but then I read some friends lj's...
Can't believe the damn thing passed...
and I never got my absentee ballot either...
damnit!
well all I have to say (or rather quote) is:

"Be like me.
Conform.
Behave the way I want you to.
Enjoy what I think you should enjoy.

No smoking.
No lap dances.
Drinks gone by 1:45 am.

not to argue with you, cuz I love you...but being from CA< and currently living in CA...and currently being a stripper...I loooove that there are no lap dances where I work, I LOVE that theres no smoking...do you know how much business doubled here after the ban here passed? people with lung problems could go out finally! and as for lap dances...I could go on forever..better in person the pros and cons...and I dont have to give lap dances, nor take my top off (cept in the video) and I still make bank like one of the lap dancers, and the place still gets packed! and we close at 1:45, but no one seems to be that bothered...they just learned to deal...it really is great for people who work at these establishments...I love that I am able to make ten times more money here in CA, than I would in WA, because they banned l;ap dances in Sunnyvale, and banned topless dancing if liquor is served, AND no smoking...if I were still in WA, I would be poor and limited in work, and homeless like I was...I am too ADD for desk jobs...I wont get fired ( ... )

well the no lap dance issue I think is actually a good thing...
as for the smoking...
You know I rarely smoke...but honestly I think they are taking away our rights!
what's next: ban on booze, stripping banned, burlesque banned and the worst...no dancing whatsoever!!! you may think I am being extreme. Maybe I am a bit, but it's because it is a right to smoke, drink and dance. This is AMERICA! Not the Gestapo! If I want to do any or all of the above I shouldn't have to hide in my home to do it nor chance a citation!
Lately it feels like they are tightening the noose on American freedom... this is just one (fairly major) thing that may lead to a controlled America.
Don't forget: land of the FREE...home of the brave.
Where are the brave citizens to stand up for our freedom now before they take away something that hits closer to home?

well, they havnt gone any further in CA, or the other 8 states with these rules...and dont forget, WA DID have a ban on dancing...for minors...under 21!! it was a huuuge deal when that finally got dropped...they arnt going to bring that back.

people freak out..but finally, I have been given the right to breathe again! anywhere I want!! dont forget, my right to breathe in a healthy environment was limited like a prison...like many I know..its like we are finally FREE. look at the other side of the coin. people with major lung issues...asthma, emphazema...etc...they were inprisioned to only small amounts of places...now a whole new door has been opened to everyone else! and this doesnt mean the smokers have to become prisioners to there homes now...CA smokers love the ban in CA....the WA smokers will learn too.
