I don't know what to say, Galen, except that maybe God's using this as a way to keep you away from something that might've been really bad. 20/20 hindsight often works with our spiritual eyes as well as the physical ones.
man, i am so sorry about that Galen. praise God you are alright.
i agree with the encouragement everyone has given to you so far. God is in control and the Bible says that there is a reason for everything. we may not understand, but praise God we have a Father who knows. remember Romans 8:28.
you are right, this is God's year. let His kingdom come and His will be done for you this year (and for all of us). to Him belongs all the glory.
remember what i shared with you from Philippians 4? rejoice always. i am still pondering that and working on that. regardless of what we face, may we find that place to rejoice in.
The whole thing with the car is actually kind of funny in the way that people keep posting on Xanga to try to cheer me up about it, posting platitudes and empty statements. Not that I don't appreciate the thought, but if I was still distraught about it, the kinds of things they post would probably make me feel worse, or at least angry, not better.
It's truly refreshing to see that when the chips are down, you still strive to see the bright side of the situation. I've always tried to do that, and I think it helps a lot. I will keep you in my prayers.
I didn't really try to see the bright side. On the contrary, I did my best to make myself miserable. But for some reason, God didn't let me. He did a good work.
