It is so good to hear from you :) and things certainly seem to go into the right direction! I am so happy you are finally going to do what you really like, and I am sure it will bring you a lot of satisfaction. And yay for the wedding plans :) I so wish we lived nearer, I'd love to see you with the pig dowry :)))
Congratulations on your pending engagement, and your career. And belated Happy Birthday.
Sorry I've been out of touch for so long myself. Things went a little crazy for a while, but I ended up moving and starting over, and now things are going very well. I'm back in college, finishing my music education.
It was kind of creepy just seeing your name and image floating out there in cyberspace, no longer connected to the RL object.
Where did you move and what is your major? I have a BM in Music Education and an MM in Choral Conducting, so I can relate to what you're doing.
Anyhow, I'm just glad you're doing well and that we can chat now and then. I'm looking forward to it.
I'm reading a biography of Mario Lanza by Cesari that is very interesting. I've always loved his voice and this book confirms that his life was just a case of a once in a century voice that everybody wanted to cash in on and when combined with his weaknesses, literally killed him in his prime. It's a tough book to read because in every chapter, you can see how just a few different choices would have changed his life and probably prolonged it.
Thanks for checking in and let's stay in touch. Get me caught up when you find some time.
I'm living in Athens, going to the University of Georgia. For my major, I'm trying to decide between music composition and vocal performance. I still have to audition to get into the music department, but I should be ready in the next couple of months for a vocal audition. I've been taking both vocal and piano lessons, but I've still got a long way to go on the piano.
I don't know much about Mario Lanza. I do love hearing him sing "Granada."
Anyway, it's good to know you're doing well also. I'll write you more when I've got some time, but now I have to study for a biology test.

I am so sorry that so much has been going on. Hope you are well - I'll drop you a note when I send it out, and again, thanks for your patience.
I come home at 9:00 or 10:00 almost every night and just stand there and stare at the wall before giving up and going to bed.
Things are getting better.
