remember: 1:1 shimmy, one hip per step/weight change
2 tension shimmy, 2 hips per weight change (right tense-tense, left tense-tense)
3/4 shimmy is *3* hip accents and 4 is the weight change.
not sure how to write 3/4 shimmy. it has variations as well.
most basic. rlr with the hips, with no weight on rt foot, 4 is right foot coming down. lrl with the hips, no weight on lft foot, 4 is left foot setting... repeat.
or sometimes there is a lift rather than just the hip out...
so right hip out and back, right hip lift and down, step; left hip out and back, left hip lift and down, step.
my sound effect/verbalization for fast is "dug id a dug id dug id a dug id a" hee hee
