An interesting article which, if the technology pans out, could lead to a greater balance for male reproductive rights and responsibilities

As am I. I think it's about time men had more options (beyond the brand of condom) where they can actually put weight behind their decision instead of relying on their partner to honor and enforce it. :D Would certainly bring a measure of equality to the slogan of "My body, my choice"
Setting that aside, I'm curious to know the results of human studies and what potential side effects could come from the usage (or potential arrest of usage) of a male pill. I also want to know which pharmaceutical company, ideally one that is publicly traded, will make and distribute it so I can buy their shares! :P

lol I want you to try something... through whatever means is most convenient to you, survey at least 100 sexually active men (ideally 500 but I doubt you're inclined to do that). Ask them which option is more appealing:
1) Inclined to voluntarily and regularly take 1 pill every 30 to 90 days if, in conjunction with condoms, it reduced unwanted paternal responsibility and granted men a greater level of control over their reproductive abilities (and again responsibilities);
or
2) Inclined to maintain the status-quo with no equalizing power but maintain the current (and legally predisposed) lack of influence/power and potentially financial and social consequences.
Emphasis on your sample group being limited to sexually active men who are not interested in parenthood.
I look forward to reading your findings... and your deprecating comments on your own gender ;)

I found that "back in the day" the vast majority of guys I had relations with were deeply concerned as to whether I was using contraception because condoms fail and they seemed to all be under the impression that women lie and will try to catch you and keep you with babies. It was a frightening and interesting insight into male anxieties. I can definitely see this pill catching on.
