I think it's time for activists to embrace certain tactics. Specifically the creation and/or redefinition (for the sake of exclusivity - and perhaps to create some ... credibility) of terms

Activists also need to stop using the full frontal assault for everything. Doesn't matter what they do, everything is a full frontal assault. "something big is going on there! We need to go there!" This is a bad tactic.
1 - Your target knows you are going "there". That is why you will find barricades and police "there"
2 - You put thousands of people together in a situation where trouble is expected and trouble will be found. This is not because of any sense of malice but because if you put to paranoid groups together violence is going to happen.
I totally agree with this, I've said it a few times now, if you have an organization {or more recently SEVERAL organizations} and you want to make a clear concise message, then get together before the 'rally' or 'march' hire a publicist, {everyone throws in a few bucks if you have hundreds of people it really shouldn't cost THAT much if it's a cause you believe in} and then announce to the press that you're going to be throwing a press conference
