I don't think the guys will dismiss it either.
... Of course, this doesn't work for the gamer-girlfriend who is drug (or forces her way) into a game just so she can spend more time with her boyfriend/husband and is nothing but a distraction and nuisance to the game... those girls aren't cool. :(

With in reason if you act like these guys you deserve it. In fact often I think they like it. I try to be a gentleman but I'm not an idiot. Of course I've been married for 8 years, so maybe that makes it different for me.
