Well, I had my first kinda gig as a photographer last week. My regular job is an IT grunt, but the Graphic Artist/Media person knows of my hobby and tapped me to be a photographer at our Convention. I also did a little video and my regular tech support stuff. Busy as hell, but I racked up some good OT

You should feel very proud of yourself for your pictures. I've seen them and I know you got the position based on your skill. You're already good, but you're getting even better. I know I couldn't do what you do: taking good pictures of people, good portraits, is tricky. Love the pics of your children dancing, especially.

One of my favourite things about photography is how we can immediately see our progress, where our focus goes. My Tumblr has helped me with that (and helped me see my shortcomings, too).

Wish I could follow you on instagram. Maybe, when my ipod is back?

Thank you :) I guess I am kind of proud. Still mostly freaked out about "going public" or posing as a photographer. But I admit I enjoy playing the role and achieving some good resulting pictures.

It was fun and I hope I can do more. Maybe I can use the professional grade equipment at work and expand my skills. There has even been talk of me changing jobs, if there was budget for it. The publications lady is always so very swamped and she's lovely to work with so if it becomes a reality I will certainly consider jumping on the opportunity.

Yes, I hope your ipod is repaired and you can rejoin us on the street fair and hopefully on Instagram as well. It'd be so cool to see you there :)
