Maru frowned, confused, leaning in slightly toward Koki. He whispered in a conspiratorial voice.
“What are they arguing about today?”
“Beats me, man.”
Maru’s frown grew a little as he continued to stare at his arguing bandmates. In the other end of the dressing room, Jin and and Kame were oblivious to the others’ confusion. Kame seemed annoyed, gesticulating energetically in front of Jin - though from the distance it looked more like the boy was flailing his hands around - while the older man just sat on the couch with a big pout.
There was a loud bang as the door was slammed against the wall, Nishikido Ryo walking past it without heeding the conmotion he had just caused. Kame and Jin had even stopped arguing, turning around in unision at the sudden noise. Yamashita walked past his older bandmate, closing the door after himself. Jin got up, walking up to them happily and blinking at the tabloid Ryo waved in front of his nose, surprised.
“What’s this?”
“A rumour. About you. Or your... eggplant, to be exact.”
Jin’s face lightened up with a wide grin as he took the tabloid, flipping through the pages until he found a column with his name. Maru frowned again, more confused than before. Koki peeked at the article over Jin’s shoulder.
“Eggplants? What do you mean by Jin’s eggplant?”
Koki turned around, face suddenly pale. “Trust me man, you do not want to know.” Maru gulped and nodded slowly, the look in his friend’s wide shocked eyes telling him the man was right.
Meanwhile Ryo kept staring at Jin with his lips pursed in annoyance. Seeing Jin was not going to make any comment about the article - he looked quite proud of it, in fact - he exploded.
“What the fuck, you aren’t even surprised about this! Who the hell are you paying to dream up this shit?!”
“That’s what I’ve been wondering since morning.”
Jin blinked at his friend’s colorful language, a hurt pout claiming his lips as he whipped around to glare at Kame. “But it’s true!”
“An eggplant, Jin? A freaking oversized eggplant? Are you kidding me?”
“I said it’s true!”
Nishikido raised an eyebrow, looking at him like if he had grown another head. “Like hell, Bakanishi. Like hell are you bigger than me.”
Maru gasped, finally understanding what all the arguing was about, but nobody paid attention. Jin snorted, laughing softly. “That’s not that hard, Ryo-chan.”
Ryo’s eyes widened in anger, his hands going for Jin’s shirt before anyone could do anything. “What did you say?!”
Pi rushed to take Ryo away from Jin, holding his bandmate back. “Come on, Ryo-chan. You know how much of an idiot he is, I’m sure he’s just lying...”
“Why doesn’t anyone believe me?!”
Jin glared at them, but nobody could preview what was going to happen until Jin started unbuckling his belt. There was a bunch of horrified gasps and ‘no’s, but any of the men in the room was fast enough to stop Jin, who had pushed his jeans and underwear down a second later. He looked at them, grinning thriumphally.
Ryo dropped to the floor, covering his eyes with his hands as he screamed. “Oh my God I’m blind! My eyes! What was that for, idiot?! My poor innocent eyes won’t ever be the same!”
Jin rolled his eyes, turning toward Kame with a smug expression. The younger boy was stairing at his crotch unashamedly, eyes wide with utter shock - pretty much like Yamapi, only the News member was also quite paler than usual.
“I told you it was true.”
Everybody jumped as the door was slightly opened and a little hand appeared by the crack. “Nii-chan?” Koki gasped, recognizing Juri’s voice.
“Don’t come in!”
“But Nii-chan! Mom just called and-”
“Juri, don’t!”
Koki dashed forward as his younger brother started to poke his head around the door. “I’ll save you!” He covered the kid’s eyes with his hand and sweeping him off his feet. Juri screamed and kicked, caught unward, but Koki flet with him too fast for him to free himself.
Ueda appeared at the door a moment later. He stopped dead on his tracks, taking a minute to take in the scene inside the room, and then turned around and took off toward the cafeteria, muttering something about needing some coffee to handle that so early in the morning. Just as he disappeared, Junno came into the room, too engrossed with his DS to pay attention to his surroundings. He plopped down on the couch.
“Does anyone know why was Tat-chan so grumpy... Why is Nishikido-kun screaming?”
Junno looked up from the screen after realizing the conmotion in the room, only then realizing the scene in the room. He smiled faltered a little, though it didn’t vanish completely as he looked at Jin.
“Good morning, Akanishi-kun. Nice... view.”
Jin pulled his clothes back into place with a happy smile. “At least someone finally appreciates it. Not that the model didn’t, mind you.”
