I also think it's somewhat revolutionary, in its own way. You've got all of these frum women, and they are in touch and communicating in their own space without rabbinic supervision. Hard questions can be asked (within the guidelines), you hear about honest struggles with kids and finances and relationships, and there are honest vents and criticisms of things in the frum world. The private sections for women dealing with abuse have grown. I think that if there are going to be changes in some of the more troublesome aspects of frum society, it will likely come from the women.

As far as prayer for Rosh Hashana, I never really found it too awful that we repeat stuff. They always said we're praying for the entire klal Israel - so in that sense, it's almost like first time for urself, second repeat for family, third for everyone else and so on... E.g. I always felt that this repetition is in order to sort of "get" everyone including those who dont pray and dont care for RH. Prayers were always the least of my problems w orthodox judaism :)
