Warnings: …. Can I put ‘Vincent’ as a warning? Well, past that… suffocation. 8|;;
Dream Effect: [OPTIONAL] Intense feelings of paranoia, loneliness, and uncertainty, and then a choking feeling building up in the watcher’s throat to the point where it is almost unbearable until the feed ends.
Filter: From Vincent. WITH GOOD REASON.

“It is not a concern of Miss Ada’s.”

The statement echoes, though as Ada opens her eyes and blinks them repeatedly, she can see nothing past a pitch black. Such emptiness, such darkness, such a place devoid of… devoid of… what was it missing?

“Hope,” something whispered close to her ear, taunting her.

She jumped and turned swiftly, wondering if for a moment that she was not alone. That perhaps someone else was there with her, that she could find a companion who she could trust to help…

But there was no one.

As if that reinforced realization had a physical effect on her, she shivered. Who did that voice belong to? It sounded so… familiar, agonizingly so.

Her thoughts were broken as a gust of wind swept at her seemingly from nowhere. The force of it was enough to tangle her hair this way and that, but she paid that no mind. No, it was the sounds that came rushing with it that she focused on.

“Oh, the younger sister?”

“The young miss?”

“Miss Bezarius?”

“Lady Bezarius.”

“Ada!”

“Oz’s sister?”

“The sibling of the boy who…?”

“Oh, Miss Bezarius.”

“Young Miss Ada.”

“Miss Ada Bezarius.”

A cacophony of voices addressing her, each one familiar. She could place a few of them to a few faces, those of the students at Latowidge, those of the servants in her family’s manor, those of the members of Pandora. Finally it all died down, until there was nothing but silence again. It was short-lived.

“She does not need to know,” all of the voices said in unison.

Until finally, the voice of one that she treasured most in the world. Dear Uncle Oscar. However the message was vague, as all that was conveyed was, “Get away from him!”

A hand at her shoulder.

Spinning around yet again, she was not greeted with darkness but instead a familiar pair of mismatched eyes. One red as wine, the other a soft shade of gold. The smile on his face was familiar.

“Miss Ada.” Vincent smiled, his hand idly tracing the path from her shoulder to her neck.

Then there was a hand at her throat; his grip was strong. Her eyes widened as she gasped for breath. Nothing was coming, nothing could be said. Nothing in her defense, nothing to make him stop. So many years had gone by and she had been saying nothing, not speaking a single world of her curiosity or confusion as to why things were being hidden from her. And now that she wished to say something, she had lost her chance.

However her hearing had not gone, as apathetic words fell from Vincent’s lips.

“Perhaps it would have been better for you to listen and not speak, Miss Ada. I’m afraid you’ve lost that chance now as well.”

Ada awoke from the dream, gasping for breath, her hand instinctively flying up to her throat. Her eyes shut as she tried to avoid letting unshed tears fall, her other hand moving instinctively to where she knew her Dreamberry would be. Quickly, she disallowed Vincent’s ability to view the dream.

And immediately, she fell back into bed. She would not let her thoughts dwell on it. It was a dream, only a dream.

However she could not help but note that during those few seconds, she had not heard nor said anything.

!dream, vincent, !ic, using filters for once, insecurities, actually kinda perceptive, ?dream type: nightmare, subconscious gone rampant
