Rory is really the one that can think calmly and with common sense in the TARDIS. I can see the scenes unfold in my mind.

Do you think the Rory on the floor when Amy is lured by the Ood is really him or just the House?

Ooooh that's a good question... Actually I think that one's the real one, so then he was knocked out and out of the way while House messed with Amy again. Though I'm not really sure what the point of that whole bit was anyway...

Great idea! I can totally imagine something like this - why didn't the show give us something from Rory's perspective?

And I was thinking it all looked a bit clunky with Rory - likely it's because it was written for the spot The Lodger now occupies, while Rory didn't exist, and therefore wouldn't have been in it. Then it was moved to series six, and had to be rewritten to incorporate Rory, and there was only time to fit in Amy's storyline.
