Some of those pictures, especially the ones with detached baby doll parts, are extremely unsettling and disturbing. I'd be afraid to go there during Halloween or anytime at night.

Not sure how long that bath has been there, maybe the previous owners put it in as it looks like it's on a concrete-looking base. It's a genuine cast iron bath and weighs a ton. I'm not sure exactly the age of that part of the building, not being well acquainted with all the history, but the plantation house was originally built in 1738, then I think a hurricane destroyed some of the main house of which this is part, and it was re-built again. I must do more research, as I plan to post lots more photos of it on the LJ community abandonedplaces. Now it's derelict again and the rain comes in and it's crumbling away slowly. Sad to see, as 15 years ago it was in good shape and being used as a hotel. The then owners went bankrupt because the husband drank away the profits and ran off.
