I'm sorry to hear that a friend of yours has passed away.

The issue that you talk about is in great debate about who "owns" this data once you die. For example, you can close bank accounts when someone dies but you have no legal right to data online which is strange and bizarre and I think the law needs changing in these respects.

They had something on TV about this the other week although I don't remember on what channel, a young lady had died in a car accident and as they don't know the password to her Facebook account, they can't close it or restrict writing on her wall. Her siblings don't want to remove the sister from their accounts as they want to be able to look at pictures and previous wall posts she made, but as people write messages on her wall, it is always in their news feeds reminding them that she is no longer with them. Its sad really, that when you pass on your account remains active and "alive". Its a strange world we are living in and as more people die, its going to become a ghost internet of people who are gone!

That's a pretty photo. What's behind the tree image?

That really sucks to find out that way :( Makes you realize that you should keep in touch more often to those you really care about.
