First their ancestors were made into slaves and many were INDUCTED into the tribe, and now the citizenship of their descendants has been taken away by the descendants of the same people who enslaved their ancestors. That's f$#ked up!

Yeah, that's what I thought. My grandmother is 3/4 Cherokee and one of the things that I've always appreciated about my Native American heritage is that when I've met black-Cherokee we were able to share our heritage. It's a feeling that he may be African-American and I may be Caucasion but our bloodlines crossed somewhere a long the line... or at the very least our history passed. As a member of the tribe my mom was able to vote in this election and was in the minority, I just really wish that others recognized this history for what it was.

Exactly. The ancestors of these members of the tribe contibuted so much. It's wrong they were kicked out because of racism. This was just a way for the Cherokee to purify their race. It is very wrong!
