Moving Day

Ever since I moved to Montana I've been dreading this day... moving day. Actually, it began before then when I moved from Minneapolis to St Paul and the seminary. It's not this particular move that I've been dreading, but the inevitability of another move. It's funny though, because I don't even know when that day's going to be except soon. I think St. Paul would tell you that the only way to be a truly effective minister is to make every place you go into home. Get in there and make tents with the best of them, and such. It is a hard life, though. I suppose you eventually learn to make a home in your own heart, so that you carry it with you wherever you go, and the city you keep inside of you is populated by the friends you've made wherever your body has lived. Thus, you become the Church Universal.

It is a high calling. =)

brad says when we get married we're moving to alaska...i told him he's crazy, lol. but hey, at least if we did i'd already have a friend!! haha

Hey I love AK. I think one reason I already love it though, is that I do have friends there and that helps. I also know that it was incredibly easy the last time to make friends.

I don't actually have a problem with it, I think I'm mostly scared of living in the dark for 6 months out of the year and of being cold constantly. I would love the landscape and the animals and the community no doubt though.

Yeah the darkness can be intimidating. I use lots of fancy light bulbs and I plan on buying a light box.
