1. It’s a common misconception that Harry and Ginny have loved each other since the first time their eyes met. In reality both were so caught up in other emotions at the time that is wasn’t until the Hogwarts Express had already left that they remembered meeting one another.

2. Ginny did NOT send Harry that singing Valentine in his second year. Ginny had been trying to tell Harry this for years to no avail, but she was finally proven right by (the incredibly drunk) Fred and George at Harry and Ginny’s wedding when they stood on a table and sang:

“His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad,
Her face is now red as this wine!
It was so long ago, and now time to admit
It was we who sent the Valentine!”

3. After the very first DA meeting in the Hog’s Head, Michael Corner made a comment about Harry’s story being a bit far-fetched. Ginny defended Harry fiercely and Michael accused her of still being in love with him. Ginny didn’t speak to Michael for two days after that, mostly because she thought he was being a git, but also because she knew he was right.

4. As far as Harry and Ginny know, they are the only two people to ever be possessed by Voldemort-something they rarely speak about, but something that has bound them forever.

5. Close to the end of Harry's sixth year, Ron caught him with his hand up Ginny’s skirt in a broom cupboard.

6. That was the only time Ginny’s ever obliviated anyone’s memory.

7. Oddly enough, the first time Harry knew that he would spend the rest of his life with Ginny was when he broke things off with her at Dumbledore’s funeral.

8. What he didn’t know was that Ginny knew is too.

9. On nights during the Horcrux hunt when Harry had to keep guard, sometimes he would look up at the stars and map out Ginny’s freckles in them.

It always made the night go by faster.

10. Ginny got a camera for Christmas in her sixth year. It was an old muggle camera that her father had found, but Colin Creevey showed her how to develop wizard photographs from it, and she loved it dearly. She used it to take a particularly risqué picture of herself and sent it to Harry during the war-she knew it was dangerous, but she couldn’t help herself. After Harry opened up the letter it was in (and calmed himself down). He hid the picture in his knapsack.

Ron found it two days later.

11. That was only time Harry ever obliviated anyone’s memory.

12. Harry and Ginny eventually came clean to Ron about the obliviating. He was furious for days, but ultimately admitted that he was happy he didn’t have those particular visuals in his head.

13. Harry and Ginny both agree that their most embarrassing moment was during Christmas one year when they were caught having sex in the bathroom at the Burrow…by Ginny’s mother. Ginny was promptly sent to her room and Harry had to go talk to Mr. Weasley.

At the time they had been married for six months.

14. Both decided that they should be more careful about their sex life, but didn’t really do anything about it, hoping that they’d figure it out by the time they have children.

15. They didn’t. Luckily James was young enough for Harry to chalk the incident up to “wrestling and a noise contest.”

Harry and Ginny have since become a bit more discreet.

16. Ginny had a lot of complications with the birth of their fourth child. After Sirius was born, the healers almost lost Ginny. Harry still swears to this day that that was the scariest moment of his life, including looking into the eyes of the Dark Lord.

17. On the day that Sirius, their fourth and final child, left for Hogwarts, Ginny cried all day. Harry couldn’t get her to stop, and poked fun at her a bit for it, but at the end of the day, when Ginny had gone to bed Harry sat in his study and cried like a baby.

18. Their second child, Lily, was the first to get married and have a baby. Finally, after all those years, they knew that Molly was right-grandchildren were the best thing ever created.

19. Harry passed away first, he was 117. They both knew it was his time, Ginny held his hand as he went. He told her he loved her and that she should take her time, he had some things to do before she joined him.

20. Ginny knew he meant he was making sure everything was safe for her on the other side-he always did insist on protecting her.

This first line of the song in fact #2 is from the infamous Valentine in chapter 13 of CS:
"His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad,
His hair is as dark as a blackboard.
I wish he was mine, he's really divine,
The hero who conquered the Dark Lord."
