Picture this, three days before Halloween (2 days before the first night my kids would go trick-or-treating) and we have no costumes. It's 9am, we're at the store, and i cannot imagine paying those prices for costumes. I have 3 kids. At at least $18.00 per child, we're looking at almost $50.00. No way. So, my hubby and I decide I will make them.

You did an extremely good job on them. I think the prices of stre bought costumes are rediculous. My hubs can't wait until they get to where they don't want to trick or treat anymore so we don't have to buy costumes.

Thank you. Hubby promised me that, should I be interested in doing it again, I'd have more time. lol

It isn't just that the store-bought costumes are so expensive, it's also that some of them are still made cheaply. It wouldn't be so bad if the parents could do a swap for the next year, or something... but most are of such cheap materials that they don't really make it through a whole day at school, then the evening trick-or-treating.
