Hello, Miss. Forgive my intrusion. My name is Miles Edgeworth. Might I inquire what legal care your friend, Mr. Saxon, might require? I'll admit now, rather than misleading you, I am a prosecutor, but I have experience with criminal defense.

Mr. Saxon has not been convicted of any crime thus far which makes it difficult to determine what sort of legal care he'll require. However I know an excellent defense attorney shall it be necessary. I do thank you for your interest.

Well, I'm certain he has not. If he had been convicted, there would be little use for my presence.

I do appreciate your persistence, Mr. Edgeworth. It's an admirable quality and quite a useful one. However regardless of Mr. Saxon's future, charged, released or convicted I've already assured you that there is little use for your presence. It's nothing personal of course. I've only just met you but that is the point. I'd rather entrust Mr. Saxon's fate to someone I know.

I've got some stuff that might be able to help him, medically.

Oh excellent. Kara yes?

We've got to get into see him first. Thus far I'm not having any luck and I am lying my pigu off in an effort to change that.

Any suggestions on how to do that I'd be more than willing to take them.

Yeah, Kara.

They said maybe once they're done talking to him we might get to see him. I could just bust him out but... if he really did do something...

Well, my older self was here and looked over him and left some notes. It looks like he's breaking down at a cellular level.

It's a pleasure to formally meet you. I'm Inara.

I think for the moment it is best that we leave Harry where he is. The City will feel safer and we're more likely to get the community's support if we support the police. I would just like to see him. I'm working on some things. My boyfriend studied law in his world. I'm going to try to get him in as Harry's legal aid and I'm going to try and follow as the paralegal on the case if my plan A doesn't work.

I'm afraid I'm far from medically minded. I understand what that means but I'm not sure what to do about it. I know Harry said he was dying. Do you know how to fix this?

Inara! I remember you. I'm Penny. Well... it's probably more important that I'm a friend of Harry's, too, and I'd really like to help out. I don't know what he's been arrested for or what's wrong with him, but he's definitely not okay.

Penny. I remember you as well. I agree. He is very sick and he needs our help. I'm working on some plans right now. When they've firmed up a bit I'll let you know.

Just to put the record straight, I'm not usually a--you know. Like I was during the curse.

Do you know what kind of sick? And thank you... I don't think I'll be able to help much, but Harry's usually so sweet. He hasn't been himself and he doesn't need to be punished for that.

I didn't think you were but I am. Or I was in my world. To be perfectly fair, the position was vastly different than what your world sees it as. I'm among the most respected people in my society.

When I spoke to him he seemed very mentally ill. Other then that, I don't know.

Thank-you.

Not right an ill man is being prosecuted for scavenging. What he did is no different from a raccoon or coyote helping itself to discarded edibles.

I don't even know what Harry is charged with but I do know that he's ill and that must be taken into account regardless of what he's charged with.

I'm assuming it has to do with this. If a common animal rummaging thru trash and gnawing on butcher shop remnants raises little ire with law enforcement, then a humanoid doing the same shouldn't either.

(OOC - he knows damn well the bones were human)

[Inara is quiet a moment. This is her trying to hold her lunch--more and more of a feat recently]

And from what I understand, in the twenty first century which seems to be the predominant century here, there are people who live entirely on what they scavenge from dumpsters.

[ooc: Inara is mostly trying to avoid thinking about that for the moment and concentrating on making sure her 'friend' doesn't end up in jail]

I'm far from being a lawyer, but if I can assist in any other way please let me know. Mr. Saxon is one of my employees, so I feel it my responsibility to help if I can.

I will do so. Likewise if you've suggestions for helping him, please let me know. I am not a lawyer either but I do have some experience within political circles and I'm certain those that would prosecute him are rallying. I wanted to be certain we were doing so as well.

I'm Inara Serra

I wish it were under better circumstances, but it's a pleasure, Miss Serra. I'm Solomon Goldsmith.

Forgive how this sounds, but... didn't we meet at the brothel not too long ago?

Yes, Mr. Goldsmith, I do remember you. And yes it was at the brothel. The City decided that apparently I would make a lovely madame. Of course they're right but depending upon one's opinions, thoughts and moral compass, it does make for some uncomfortable conversations after wards. You needn't be concerned with how it sounds, I'm not.
