“Dad,” James said, making Harry look up from his paper work. “Can I ask you a
question?”
“Sure, sport, take a seat.” Harry put down his quill and sat back at his desk, watching James fidget. “Is something wrong?”
“No, it’s just…well, I’m fourteen now, and there’s…I mean…Dad, what was your first kiss like?”
“Honestly,” Harry had to stop himself from cringing. “It was quite awkward.”
“Really?”
“Well, the girl was crying.”
“Mum cried when you kissed her?!” James started to laugh.
“No, no, your mum wasn’t my first kiss,” Harry smiled. “That kiss…well, that one was far from awkward.”
