Hurricane Katrina
In case you haven't seen them on myspace... here are some pictures i took of the damage of hurricane katrina around my neighborhood. unlike 1.5 million people in miami-dade and broward counties, we had power the entire time.
i was laughing so hard when i saw this... cuz it kinda looks like a penis and balls
we'll start off with the lil trees and build up
this one's a lil bigger
ok if you look closely the roots reach up to the second story of this townhouse (that's how big the tree is!)
and here's the granddaddy of them all
in the far left you see ivan for some perspective of how ginormous this tree is. this a panorama of multiple shots... but you can see how huge this tree is.
thankfully... all of the trees fell away from the homes. the last image, the tree was in the backyard of a townhouse (about six feet to the backdoor), if it had fallen in any other direction there would have been structural damage to the home.
some crazy ass shit for a category one. but made for some pretty cool pictures. supposedly a lot of trees at U of Miami have been uprooted! craziness
