One time, we held an anonymous "How's the Service?" survey at the library I used to work at, and all the ballots were put in this box we worker bees weren't supposed to open. So, when a certain unnamed petite librarian and a certain unnamed myself closed one night, she stuck her hand in the little ballot opening thing and pulled them all out. We didn't tamper with them, but we felt totally badass nonetheless. I apologize for rambling. I've just never gotten to share that story before...
Nice survey! I am troubled by the Billy Crystal quote, though. I love that it's him and that it's From Throw Mama from the Train, but I hate any writing advice that says a person must write everyday or always or whatever. It's just not possible. Even writers need weekends, breathers or breaks. I am currently trying to write everyday because the MFA didn't allow enough time to write (imagine that an MFA program that doesn't allow time to write!) and it's working just fine. But I'll quote one of my very dear professors here, "whoever first said that a writer needs to write everyday needs to be dragged out into the street and shot." Although, maybe the quote means that a writer needs to think and observe like a writer at all times. I'm down with that. My love and I will be in Oregon next month around the 12th or so. I hope we can see you, K, and the babe by then.

P.S. You craft a fine, fine survey.
